Kadriorg Stadium was built in 1926. The stadium is located about 2 km east of the city centre in the subdistrict of Kadriorg and near the Kadriorg Palace. Kadriorg Stadium is the main athletics stadium in Estonia.

Kadriorg Stadium has had since 2006 World Athletics certificate, which allows to carry out high-level international competitions. The current WA Certificate was issued on 18 July 2011, after reconstruction of the competition arena. The track surface in Kadriorg Stadium is MONDO.
